Constantine V Copronymus, with Leo IV, 741-775. Solidus (Gold, 21 mm, 4.45 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis, circa 750-756. COҺSTAҺTIҺOS S LЄOҺ O ҺЄOS Crowned busts of Constantine V, bearded and somewhat larger on the left, and Leo IV, beardless and somewhat smaller on the right, facing and wearing chlamys; between their heads, cross and pellet. Rev. δ LЄON P A MЧΘ Crowned bust of Constantine's father Leo III facing, wearing loros and holding cross potent on base in his right hand. DOC 2c. SB 1551. A splendid and sharply struck piece. Very light scratch on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
