Histamenon (Gold, 23 mm, 4.42 g, 7 h), Constantinopolis. +IҺS XIS RЄX RЄςNANTIҺm Christ Pantokrator seated facing on throne, holding book of Gospels in his left hand and raising his right in blessing. Rev. ΘCЄ bOHΘ' RωmAҺω On the left, Romanus standing facing, wearing crown and loros and holding globus cruciger with his left hand; on the right, the Virgin, wearing robes and crowning the emperor with her right hand and holding maphorion in her left; above, MΘ. DOC 1c. SB 1819. A sharp and and fresh coin. Very light scratch on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
