Currently, it is known that four other serial number 1 Ploughman notes have also survived. These are held either in Bank archives or in the National Museum. To the best of our knowledge, this Provincial Bank serial number 1 is the only number 1 note of the first date of issue for the Ploughman series to be in private hands.
