KORKYRA. Korkyra. Under Roman rule, circa 229-48 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 21 mm, 5.00 g, 4 h). Head of youthful Dionysus to right, wearing ivy wreath. Rev. Pegasus flying to right; below, monograms of the city name, KOP, and of a magistrate, ΠYPΘ... BMC 349-350. SNG Copenhagen 196 (this obverse die). SNG Delepierre 1205. Well struck, nicely toned, and of remarkably good style for the issue; rare thus. Good very fine.
