ATTICA. Athens. Circa 545-525/15 BC. Obol (Silver, 8 mm, 0.59 g), from the Wappenmünzen Series, c. 540. Oil amphora. Rev. Irregular incuse square. BMC 23 (Ceos). Seltman p. 157 and pl. IV, 75. Traité I, 1100 = pl. XXXIII, 8. Very rare. Toned and boldly struck in high relief. With somewhat crystalized surfaces as usual, otherwise, good very fine.
