CRETE. Gortyna. Circa 330-270 BC. Stater (Silver, 22.5 mm, 11.80 g, 3 h). Europa, turned half-right, seated in a plane tree, her right hand resting on a branch and extending her left to right. Rev. A beautifully toned, very well struck example, with no apparent traces of over-striking; very rare thus. Minor scuff on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
