LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 290-280 BC. Nomos or Didrachm (Silver, 21 mm, 7.67 g, 4 h). ΔI Head of Demeter to left, wearing wreath of barley ears and pendant earring. Rev. ΜΕΤΑ Ear of barley with leaf to left; to left, on leaf, amphora; to left, below leaf, ⊢A. HN III 1619. Johnston Class D 3.10-11. Bright and attractive. Slightly rough surfaces, otherwise, extremely fine.
