LYDIA. Sardes. Circa 166-67 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15.5 mm, 2.95 g, 12 h). Head of youthful Dionysos to right, wearing ivy wreath. Rev. Σ - AP Large bunch of grapes; above, small cornucopia; below, monogram of Γ and A (?); the whole within ivy wreath. BMC -. SNG Copenhagen -. SNG von Aulock -. Apparently unpublished. Extremely rare, perhaps the second and best example known. Some traces of corrosion, otherwise, about extremely fine.
