KINGS OF COMMAGENE. Antiochos I Theos, circa 69-34 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 22 mm, 7.64 g, 11 h). Draped bust of Antiochos I to right, wearing high tiara with five pinnacles on the top, earflaps, and with its side ornamented with a star between two eagles, their heads reverted to look at each other. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ Lion of Commagene walking stiffly to right, his head slightly lowered. Bedoukian 25. CAA 126. Nercessian 196. Rare. A sharp and well-struck piece of unusually fine quality.
