Diademed head of Antiochos VIII to right; around, fillet border. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ Zeus Ouranios standing left, draped to the waist, holding star in his outstretched right hand and long scepter with his left; in field to left, ΣΙΔΩ / ΙΕΡ / ΑΣ above monogram; in exergue, ZϘΡ; all within laurel wreath. CSE 724. DCA 268. HGC 9, 1197g. SC 2330.2. Beautifully toned, perfectly centered, and with an especially elegant and idealized portrait of Antiochos VIII. Good extremely fine.
