MAXENTIVS P F AVG Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Maxentius to left, holding spear pointed forward and decorated shield. Rev. VICTORIA AETERNA AVG N / R T Victory standing right, left foot on base of cippus supporting shield, on which she inscribes VOT / X; behind her, at her feet to left, captive seated left. Drost 123c. RIC 230. Rare, with a green patina and a most attractive and unusual bust of the emperor. Nearly extremely fine.
