THRACE. Abdera. Circa 365/0-350/45 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 2.78 g, 12 h), Molpagores. Griffin, with open wings and both forelegs raised, seated to left. Rev. MOΛ-ΠA-ΓO-PHΣ Head of youthful Dionysos to left, wearing ivy wreath; all inside a linear square within a shallow circular incuse. McClean 4015 (same dies). May, Abdera 419 (A290/R340). SNG Copenhagen 333 (same dies). Sharp, well-centered and very attractively toned. Extremely fine.
