Selinos, tetradrachm, c. 417-409 BC, Artemis driving quadriga right with Apollo standing beside her drawing bow; above, laurel wreath, rev., ΣΕΛΙΝΟΝΤ-ΙΟΝ, the young river-god Selinos, nude, standing facing, head turned to left, holding laurel branch and pouring from phiale over lighted altar in front of which stands cockerel; to right, bull on pedestal above which votive tablet and selinon leaf, 17.50g, die axis 7.00 (cf. Schwabacher 40 but slightly different dies), flaw on head of Apollo, minor marks, extremely fine and rare.
