Macedonia, Siris or Lete, trihemiobol, c. 525-480 BC, satyr, with erect tail, seated on ground with legs pulled up; on either side, a pellet, rev., diagonally divided incuse square, 0.98g (Svoronos pl. VIII, 17; SNG ANS 972; Rosen 157), toned, high relief, extremely fine and rare, an exceptional example perfectly centred on an oval flan, from the Imhoof-Blumer collection. Provenance: F.
