Terracotta sealing. Near Eastern, Sasanian, 5th-6th centuries AD. Large sealing impressed with an image of horse and rider facing right, presumed to depict a "spahbed" (military officer). Figure holds a scepter, and both he and horse are armored. Inscription around reads kust-I-Xwarasan cihr-burzen. Width: 6.5cm. Some loss at edge. Rare. R.
