Glass hexagonal juglet. Roman, 1st century AD. Mold-formed Sidonian Ware juglet with everted rim, cylindrical neck, and handle rising from shoulder to mouth. On shoulder, a series of arches each containing unidentifiable bulge (acorns or grape bunches?). On body in between a series of columns, three facing heads and three vessels (an amphora and two wine vases). Below, row of festoons, each containing unidentifiable bulge. Height: 8.8cm. Opaque light green glass with patches of weathering. Intact. Cf. Dobkin 135ff.

Such "Sidonian Ware" pieces are found primarily in the eastern Empire, and are often assumed to have been manufactured at Sidon, a city on the Phoenician coast that is known to have been an important center of glass manufacture.
