Bronze appliqué in the form of a duck. Roman, 2nd-3rd centuries AD. Appliqué in lost wax method of a foot of a piece of furniture. The piece portrays a duck standing on a lion's paw, with wings spread and head turned and resting on back. Slot for mounting. Dimensions: 6.0x7.3cm. Green and brown patina with some encrustation. Some damage at base and tip of one wing.
