Lead plaque with Sts. Peter and Paul. Byzantine, 8th-11th centuries AD. Single-sided lead plaque depicting Sts. Paul, holding sword, and Peter, holding keys, supporting between them a cruciform scepter. The marginal inscription reads: [...]PETRI ET PAVLI + SIGNA APOSTOLO. Dimensions: 3.5x3.0cm. Surfaces cracks and small area between figures missing, otherwise an attractive specimen.
