THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 450-430 BC. AR Hemidrachm (15.5mm, 2.81 g, 12h). Thessalos, nude but for petasos and cloak tied at neck, standing left, holding band across horns of bull forepart leaping left / Λ-A-P-I, forepart of bridled horse leaping right; all within incuse square. Lorber, Thessalian 28 (same obv. die); BCD Thessaly II 375.2 var. (same dies); HGC 4, 457. Near VF, lightly toned, granular surfaces, shallow mark and die wear on reverse.
