Ptolemaic Kingdom, Alexandria. Ptolemy I Soter. As King, 305-282 B.C. AE obol (20.09 mm, 8.43 g, 1 h). Pre-reform, pre-centration. Alexandria mint, Struck ca.290-285 B.C. Head of young Alexander right wearing elephant-skin headdress / [ΠTOΛEMAIOY BAΣIΛEΩΣ], Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, head left,wings open; in field, EY / XAΡ (ligate); nothing between legs.. Svoronos 363 (Sv: "Ptolemy II"). Near VF, brown-black dark patina, legend all off-flan.
