Bogota, Colombia, bust 8 escudos, Charles III, 1781JJ, PCGS AU50, ex-Young, ex-Eldorado. Restrepo-72.23; CT-189; KM-50.1. Lustrous and light yellow in color, with a modicum of handling marks but really closer to AU 55 or even 58 overall, in our opinion. Pedigreed to the Leo Young collection (RARCOA auction of May-June 1980, with original lot-tag #123) and to the Eldorado collection (Stack's Bowers auction of January 2018, lot #11200).
