Lot of fifteen Lima, Peru, copper-nickel 10 soles, 1969, strike-pressure progression set. KM-253. Interesting collection of numbered progression strikes showing the effects of different striking pressures. The coin labelled "1" exhibits almost no design elements; subsequent strikes show more detail with less weak areas until fully struck up by coin "15." All coins brilliant UNC, some with light toning. Possibly unique (the only such group we are aware of) with no evidence of any strike-progression sets appearing on the market recently, from Peru or otherwise. Worthy of studying and possibly encapsulation as the different numbered strikes.
