USA (Philadelphia mint), half dollar, 1936, Lynchburg, NGC MS 64. Obverse features the bust of US Senator Carter Glass, one of the few persons to be depicted on a US coin while living. Lustrous, satiny, and completely untoned, very well struck with defined hairline and dress details on woman on reverse (a quality missing on even some higher grade pieces). NGC #2728570-012.
