Broad round flan with choice full shield and cross, flat peripheries albeit with full crown, fairly clear oMO and denomination 8, hairline edge-splits, VF. Before the discovery of three Charles-Joanna Rincon specimens from the "Golden Fleece wreck" (ca. 1550), this oMO issue was considered the first "dollar" coin of Mexico and is still popular today--in fact, a choice specimen just sold at auction for over $20,000 in September 2018.
