Potosi, Bolivia, cob 1/2 real Royal (galano), Philip V, date not visible, rare. 1.56 grams. Almost perfectly round and with bold and evenly struck details, albeit on a flan that is too small for anything in the periphery, including--amazingly--the date! The net result is that the monogram and cross-lions-castles are choice, and there is no question that this is a presentation piece, but we cannot attribute it to a particular date. Nicely toned XF+.
