Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, Ptolemy V or Ptolemy VI AR Tetradrachm. Alexandria(?), circa 204-180 BC or 180-145 BC. Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis around neck / BΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟY, eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt; no control marks. Svoronos 1231 and 1489; SNG Copenhagen 244-5 and 262-8. 13.89g, 28mm, 12h.

Near Extremely Fine. Scrapes to edges (mounting?), lightly toned and lustrous metal. An attractive specimen.
