Aurelian Æ Laureate. Uncertain mint, AD 274-275. IMP C AVRELIANVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / P M TB (sic) P VII COS II P P, Mars advancing right, holding spear and trophy. RIC -, cf. 16 (Rome, aureus, same misspelling in rev. legend) & 186 (Siscia, aureus). 3.49g, 21mm, 11h.

About Good Very Fine. An interesting and unusual piece, the types of which have only previously been known struck in gold. Particularly note must be made of the misspelt rev. legend, which occurs on a number of extant examples of the aurei of this type from the Rome mint.
