Constantine I AV Solidus. Constantinople, AD 335-336. CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG, rosette-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right / CONSTANTINVS AVG, Victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm branch; CONS in exergue. RIC 90. 4.29g, 19mm, 12h.

Very Fine. Graffito in obv. right field, scratches in rev. left field. Rare.

RIC lists two issues of this type (no.'s 68 & 90) struck in AD 333 and 335-336. The only differentiation between them is the reverse legend break: CONSTANT-INVS AVG on the earlier issue, CONSTAN-TINVS AVG on the later.
