Rx: SPES PVBLICA Spes advancing l., l. foot forward, holding flower and raising skirt. The later variant of this Spes type: see the Eauze hoard report, p. 237. From the Philip Ashton Collection, acquired in June 1998.In a series that frequently comes in high grade because many of these coins were issued for military purposes and were buried in quantity when freshly struck, this coin is utterly wonderful.
