Berk Personal Collection until sold to Feirstein; ex Virgil Brand Collection. Rare. As often in the early empire, the letters S C were omitted from this reverse type because they were felt to be already included in the SPQR.Harlan J. Berk owned this coin personally from 1968 until he sold it to a client in about 2000. When the collection of this individual was dispersed, Harlan re-purchased it because of its extreme beauty. EF
