This company eventually became Pabst Brewing Company. Issued to Frederick Pabst. Jacob Best was among the first brewers in Milwaukee, establishing a plant in 1844. His son Phillip took control of the brewery by 1860 and eventually, he left it to his son-in-laws, Emil Schandein and Fred Pabst.
