CSA, T-3, $100, May 16, 1861, Cr-3, PF-2. No. 1140, A. Montgomery. Black on green. Minerva, left. Locomotive loading at a station, center. Hand signed by Clitherall as Register, and Elmore as Treasurer. Printed by the National Bank Note Company in New York on a half sheet with the $50 T-4 notes. PMG 50 About Uncirculated NET. Previously Mounted, Annotation. Signed on the back by R. Williams. A light pencil annotation is present on the back, and there are two small white strips of what appears to be paper mounting tape. No defects can be seen beneath them, and no signs of discoloration. A light age toning spot is near the lower left corner, mentioned only for the sake of accuracy. This note is one of the brightest, crispest examples we have had the privilege to offer. Off the market since 2003, when our consignor purchased it on a recommendation from Douglas Ball..

Estimate: $15000-25000
