Russia Medal In Honor of a Crowning of the Emperor Nicholas I 1826
Diakov# 16446.1 R2; Silver 110,5g.; 65mm.; Nicholas I's crowning was held on August 22, 1826 in Moscow. At ten o'clock in Assumption Cathedral there has passed the widow Empress with suite, they were followed by Nicholas I with the Empress. They were met by the metropolitan Novgorod Serafim, the Kiev metropolitan Evgeny and the Moscow archbishop Filaret. Nicholas until the end of a ceremony remained in a general uniform of the chief of the Preobrazhensky Regiment. The ceremony in the main repeated traditional: visit of the Arkhangelsk and Blagoveshchensk cathedrals, return to the palace, short rest, a lunch at a special imperial table in Faceted chamber.
