Republic 8 Reales 1828 EoMo-LF AU55 NGC, Estado de Mexico mint, KM377.5, DP-EoMo01("Very Scarce"). A highly sought offering from the notoriously ill conceived Tlalpan mint. An intriguing window into the history of the early republic as the mint operated almost entirely at a loss and only produced coins for three years. This present specimen is a quality first year issue, with a beautiful gun metal tone throughout blended well with hushed cobalt and peach chroma, and only the slightest bit of friction upon the high points. A wonderful acquisition for the motivated bidder.
