Republic 8 Reales 1861 Oa-FR XF - Environmental Damage, Cleaned, Tooled, Oaxaca mint, KM377.11, DP-Oa06. "A" in "O" mintmark. Although not without some aesthetic issues this piece is one of the scarcer of the Oaxacan 8's and important as a date as it marked a limited die style that was utilized for only four years. Dunigan and Parker note that "this coin has become more and more elusive" and the present specimen is an opportunity for a prime acquisition.
