George III (1760-1820), Restrike mule Halfpenny, by W.J. Taylor after J.-P. Droz and C.H. Küchler, in copper, struck without collar, nude Britannia seated left on globe, left arm supporting shield and the remnants of a paddle, no legend, rev. Britannia seated left on rock, line under soho, olive branch with 3 berries, ship with long pennant at mainmast, edge plain, 7.79g/12h (BMC – [R2/KH 42]). Extremely fine and virtually as made, of the highest rarity; perhaps the only specimen known £1,000-£1,500
