Bareheaded and bearded head of King Tatius right; SABIN downward to left, (TA) monogram to right / Abduction of the Sabine Women: two soldiers, facing each other, each carrying off a Sabine woman in his arms; L TITVRI in exergue. Crawford 344/1a; Sydenham 698; Tituria 1; RBW –. Good VF, toned, light scratch on reverse. Well struck.

The key for this coin type is getting the faces of the participants clear, and expressing the sorts of emotions that would be appropriate for the circumstances. The die engraver got this spot on.
