THESSALY, Pherai. Circa 460-440 BC. AR Hemidrachm (14.5mm, 2.95 g, 1h). Thessalos, nude but for petasos tied at neck, standing left, in background, holding band across horns of forepart of bull leaping left / Φ-[E-R-A-I], forepart of bridled horse right; to upper left, lion's head fountain spout with water pouring from its mouth; all within incuse square. BCD Thessaly II 684 (same rev. die); HGC 4, 549. VF, toned, a bit off center, light porosity, struck from worn obverse die.
