The Pompeians. Sextus Pompey. 42-38 BC. Æ As (30mm, 23.45 g, 2h). Uncertain Sicilian mint. Laureate head of Janus with the features of Cn. Pompeius Magnus / Prow of galley right. Crawford 479/1; CRI 336; Sydenham 1044a; Type as RBW 1676. VF, dark reddish-brown and green surfaces, die break on left side of Janus portrait, possible smoothing(?).
