Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Cistophorus (27mm, 10.96 g, 6h). Hierapolis mint. Struck after AD 128. Bare headed and draped bust right / Apollo Citharoedus standing right, holding plectrum and lyre. RIC II 482; Metcalf, Cistophori, type 53; RSC 285. VF, toned, surfaces a little rough, overstruck on a cistophorus of Augustus (cf. RIC I 478).
