ISLANDS off THRACE, Thasos. Circa 520/10-500 BC. AR Stater (17mm, 7.94 g). Satyr advancing right, carrying off protesting nymph / Quadripartite incuse square. Le Rider, Thasiennes 1; SNG Copenhagen 1007; HGC 6, 331. Near EF, toned, portion cut off in antiquity. Excellent metal.


Rare early, thick-flan issue.
