KINGS of MACEDON. Antigonos I Monophthalmos. As Strategos of Asia, 320-306/5 BC. AV Stater (18mm, 8.56 g, 12h). In the name and types of Alexander III. Abydos mint. Struck circa 317-310 BC. Helmeted head of Athena right, griffin on helmet / Nike standing left, holding wreath and stylis; monogram in left field, ivy leaf below left wing. Unpublished, but same obverse die as ADM II 173 and 176 (Price 1523 and 1550). Good VF, underlying luster.
