CONSTANTINE IX, (1042-1055), histamenon nomisma, (4.42 g), struck at Constantinople mint, Class I, obv. Christ enthroned facing, with nimbus, rev. Constantine bust facing bearded wearing loros, saccos and crown, in right hand cruciform sceptre, and in left hand patriarchal cross, triple border, (S.1828, DOC 1a, BN 1, R.1987). Nearly extremely fine.
