L. VALERIUS ACISCULUS, (45 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.48 g), obv. Apollo Soranus to right, star above, ACISCV LVS and pick-axe behind, rev. Valeria Luperca on the heifer to right holding veil, L.VALERIVS in exergue, (S.469, Cr.474/1a, Syd.998, RSC Valeria 17). Lightly toned, banker's marks on obverse, good fine - nearly very fine and very scarce.
