AELIUS, Caesar, (A.D. 136-138), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 137, (2.90, 2.88 g), first coin (illustrated), obv. bare head of Aelius to right, around L AELIVS [CAES]AR, rev. around TR POT COS II, in exergue CONCORD, Concordia seated to left holding patera and resting left arm on cornucopiae, (S.3967, RIC 436, RSC 5). Toned, first coin with off centred obverse, otherwise nearly very fine, second coin with full legends, with some hoard patination, both scarce. (2)
