Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck / AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, feet on ground line, eagle in right hand, scepter in left; Λ above race torch in left field; star below throne. Price 474. Magnificent strike, perfect centering and lovely toning. Of the thousands of Alexander tetradrachms certified by NGC, currently only 25 pieces have earned the Mint State 'Star' designation. A fantastic addition to any collection.
