KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip III Arrhidaios, 323-317 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28 mm, 17.17 g, 1 h), Babylon II, struck under Seleukos I as satrap, circa 318/7-315. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΦΙΛΙΠΠOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, monogram; below throne, Ξ. Price P148 ('Arados'). SC CAd43.6. Nicely toned and struck in high relief. Graffiti on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
