IONIA. Kolophon. Circa 310-294 BC. Drachm (Subaeratus, 16 mm, 2.86 g, 1 h), Akastos, magistrate. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. AKAΣΤOΣ - KOΛO Kithara. Cf. Kinns 90 and Milne, Colophon 68 (for prototype). Light breaks in plating, otherwise, good very fine.


It is interesting to note that this plated forgery was struck from the same obverse die as the solid and official piece in CNG E-Auction 288 (2012), 229.
