KINGS OF SOPHENE. Arsames, circa 255-225 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 18 mm, 3.85 g, 11 h), third series. Draped bust of Arsames to left, wearing a cylindrical tiara with doomed top, tied with a diadem and decorated with jewels. Rev. BAΣIΛE[ΩΣ] - APΣAMO[Y] Eagle, with closed wings, standing right on thunderbolt. Kovacs 8. Very fine.
