SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos VIII Epiphanes (Grypos), 121/0-97/6 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 16.23 g, 12 h), Antiochia on the Orontes, 109-96. Diademed head of Antiochos VIII to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ANTIOXOY - EΠIΦANOYΣ Zeus seated left, holding Nike in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, monogram of PE above A; below throne, monogram; all within laurel wreath. SC 2309.2c. A nicely toned and very well centered piece. Very minor marks, otherwise, good very fine.
